Impressions from the project process
The 1st metro in HCMC-Line No.1 starts at the Ben Thanh Market and ends at Suoi Tien Park.
In order to protect the existing water pipes along the Xa Lo Ha Noi highway. suspened PERI VARIOKIT Trusses are being used for forming the concourse levels.
Customized VARIOKIT Trusses are suspended from the pier caps by four DW26 tie rods to support a maximum load of 50t without any shoring to the ground.
The entire system has successfully met the contractor's requirement for safe construction within the tight working area.
MULTIFLEX Girder Slab formwork with MULTIPROP shores are being applied for forming the slab.
The introduction of this metro line will see the central districts of HCMC linked directly with the eastern parts of the city such as District 2, District 9 and Thu Duc District.
Much of the construction is being implemented adjacent to the existing highway with daily heavy traffic.
